Maton Guitars are an iconic Australian guitar manufacturer and they have built their company on ‘Quality, not Quantity’, and that’s the takeaway point I want to share today. 

In your current business, are you chasing quality or quality? 

There’s a different business mindset behind them both. With quality you may produce less, but it allows you to charge a premium for your quality services or products. 

Maton Guitars only manufactures 8000 guitars a year, which may sound like a lot, but when you consider they export to Asia and America, it’s not that many. Targeting quality or quantity will also determine the type of clients you attract.

My Thoughts: Quality versus Quality applies to every aspect of your life, not just business. Look at your social life. How many people do you know (quantity), compared to how many are true friends (quality).  

On Social Media, you may have hundreds or thousands of friends, but how many really interact with you? How many LIKE your posts or FOLLOW your pages? It’s only a small percentage…the quality ones. 

If you’re exercising, you can choose to put in 100% for 30- 45 minutes, or go half-arsed for hours, but in the end the quality workout will win every time.
