HOUR 213: Glambition Radio with Ali Brown, Episode date 12/1/16 - Dorie Clark, Branding Expert and author of Stand Out.
Today’s Takeaway:
It’s hard to tell what is going to appeal to the masses, so before you put all your effort and money into one grand idea, you should first test the market. A good way to do this is by blogging about your idea, via multiple channels, and seeing what captures peoples interest and seeing what comments and shares you receive. This could give you some insight into how the market is thinking.
A big concern people have is if they share their idea too early someone may try and steal it, and you’re probably right they will, however if you blast your idea constantly, you will be known as the person who created it first and the other people will be seen as copy.
Bonus Idea (not on video) - Sometimes people will invest 2 years into developing a course without even mentioning it in a blog. So blog first and see if there’s any interest before you invest too much time into developing it. This could save you a lot of time and give you the ability to pivot.
