Hour 63: PBS: American Health Journal Radio - The Power Of The Brain
This episode has four different speakers and the takeaway point I want to share was from the second speaker who discussed 7 preventative measures for Alzheimers.
I won’t share all 7 preventative measures, you’ll need to listen to the podcast for that, but these are my top takeaways:
- You need to keep a positive mental attitude. Thinking positively promotes good mental health.
- You need to have a purpose in life and have goals. You need to be working towards something, not wandering through life aimlessly.
- Be on a constant path of learning. Learn new things to keep your mind active.
- Reduce the amount of stress in your life. Some stress is good, but too much stress is bad for your mental health. Even in a healthy mind, when you’re under a high level of stress you forget things.
